Fogarty's Market Garden (regular; next = September 01) [FB] [Inst] - Fogarty's is a suburban fruit and vegetable farm located in Hammonds Plains, N.S. We sell our produce from our solar powered bus Shirley, the first of its kind in Canada and likely all of North America. Fogarty's focus is on providing affordable, high quality, ultra-local fresh food, grown sustainably through organic practices and a holistic approach.
→Higbee's Berry Farm & Nursery (regular; next = August 25) [FB] - Higbee's Berry Farm and Nursury sells strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries, Haskap berries and highbush blueberry plants. They also sell copious varieties of vegetables from their farm and other NS farms.
→R and R Corkum Farm (regular; next = August 25) [FB] - R & R Corkum Farm produces natural grass-raised beef, pork and lamb with no growth hormones or antibiotics added; gluten free sausages, smoked meats, free range chicken, pasture free range eggs, chemical and pesticide free fruits, vegetables and berries, homemade jams, jellies and pickles, raw unpasteurized natural honey. All products sold as uncertified organic.
→Vegetorium Farm (regular; next = August 25) - Vegetorium Farm covers 16 acres in Sheffield Mills, Annapolis Valley. We grow a mixture of mixed fruits and vegetables including 7 acres of string beans (early July to late October), all types of peas, tomatoes, lettuces, strawberries, rhubarb, zucchini, cucumbers, cherries, carrots, sunflowers, beet greens and spinach. Our farming methods are to grow without using any chemical sprays, other than for strawberries.

Dejan's European Bakery (regular; next = September 01) [Web] [Inst] - Dejan's European Bakery makes various fresh breads and pastries from local ingredients. Products include several varieties of sourdough (white, spelt, rye, apple-raisin-honey and olive). Breads include baguettes, Belge, white, whole wheat and multigrain. Fresh pastries, which are made by using local ingredients, include croissants, chocolatine (chocolate croissant), Nutella croissants, Pepito (croissant with homemade custard and chocolate chips), almond croissants, cinnamon buns, spinach and cheese croissants, German pretzels, butter biscuits, cookies, Breton jam biscuits, palmier and assorted tarts.
→Rosie's Sourdough Studio (occasional; next = August 25) [Inst] - We are a husband and wife team making a variety of sourdough based items including bread and sweet treats. We only use organic unbleached flour for all our baked goods as well as locally sourced honey. Sourdough loaves include original, jalapeno and cheddar, cheddar and herb, rosemary with olive oil, Nutella, and double chocolate espresso. We also offer sourdough: cinnamon rolls, banana bread with and without walnuts, double chocolate brownies, browned butter chocolate chip cookies, birthday cake cookies, lemon blueberry loaf, dried sourdough pancake mix, dried herb bread dip mix, and a variety of sourdough croutons.

→Hoa Garden (regular; next = August 25) [FB] - I have always loved flowers. Why not as my first name is flower in Vietnamese and the Chinese character for flower is my name also. I started gardening when I bought my condo in Halifax in 2002. And my addiction to plant collecting has been growing since then. I currently live on a large corner lot in Timberlea with optimal growing conditions. The last 2 years I have been tossing plant clippings and overgrowth in the compost bin. This is wasteful. So this winter after watching lots of YouTube I decided to finally start my backyard nursery to sell my favorite perennials including herbs. I no longer have 7-4 job and my time is more flexible to do the things I love and gardening is there at the top of my list.

→Babbie's Bags (occasional; next = August 25) - My grandchildren call me Babbie, and this is where my love to sew and my love of the children are combined. I sew tote bags, diaper/wipes bags, boxy bags, and also matching key fob rings, other smaller wristlet bags, and children’s purses. One other fun bag is a tooth fairy bag for children.

HorzSHUZ (occasional; next = n/a) [FB] - Having returned to horse back riding after 40 years away from it & buying my first horse, I had somehow acquired buckets of used horseshoes in my barn. Meanwhile I had always looked to find my creative side; last year I found my niche. I love taking a rusted horseshoe and making a thing of beauty. There is a Shuz for everyone. Not just for the horse lover but bringing luck to all. These Shuz are great decor for home or barn; so that's how HorzSHUZ was born.
Kaleidoscope Creations (occasional; next = September 08) [FB] [Inst] - I am an artisan from Halifax that loves creating one of a kind pieces of art, home decor, and jewelry, as well as keychains and bookmarks, using different fluid art techniques. My love of fluid art started as a hobby but the joy it brought me has led me to turn my hobby into a business. I have always enjoyed working with colour and fluid art is the perfect way for me to express my creative inner self using colour in different techniques and on different surfaces including canvases, wood, ceramic tile, as well as glass. Each piece created is truly one of a kind.
→Lady Bug Purses (occasional; next = August 25 *R*) [FB] - I started sewing on machines when I was 12 and have been going strong ever since. I have made alot of different items from vertical lift harnesses for search K-9s to a black wedding dress. I enjoy designing and making things but when I started with leather I found a challenge. I enjoy designing each different one and the making. I use new and recycled leather from old coats or sofas. I use cute cottons inside, sometimes matching the theme on the outside and sometimes a surprise on the inside. I like to keep it interesting. I have now made about 1000 handbags, all numbered and signed.

Nana Coolen's Crafts (regular; next = September 01 *R*) [Inst] - I am a grandmother who loves to crochet small handheld items! My small business was inspired by my grandkids and is now made for the kid in all of us. I am most known for my Build-a-Pod pea pods! Customize your own pea pod using crocheted peas, to represent you, and your pod! Create couples, families, friend groups, coworkers, and more! We even have pup-peas and kit-peas! In addition to the peas, I also make other small animals and seasonal items.

Live music
→Brian Sea (occasional; next = August 25) - With a mellow voice, and gentle playing style, Brian Sea tends to bring back memories when he plays many well-known and not so well-known tunes from the 80's 90's and later. This combo is ideal when music is required in a relaxed, casual listening environment. Relaxing afternoon matinees at restaurants, coffee shops, markets, and other events are ideal for Brian and his laidback style and repertoire. Brian hopes to 'sea' you at an event in the near future but be prepared to sing along!
Evan P. (occasional; next = September 22) - Evan brings the sound of the British Invasion straight to the market stage! Though young in age, he plays with a maturity and passion that channel the spirit of icons like the Beatles and the Hollies. Expect jangly guitars and a set list packed with the classic 60s and 70s rock that defined a generation.
→Full Circle (occasional; next = August 25) - Full Circle is a Halifax-based cover band bringing a lively mix of crowd-pleasing hits and familiar favourites to every performance. With a focus on great songs, strong vocals, and keeping the energy high, Full Circle delivers the kind of live music that gets audiences singing along, dancing, and having a great time.
Kim Doolittle (occasional; next = September 15) [Web] - Kim Doolittle is a singer, songwriter, storyteller, musician, wordsmith and entertainer. I was born a musician, did my first paid gig at 10 years of age and my muse has taken me to 60% of the globe, guitar in hand. I think I am a “Road Scholar” and I write from those experiences, sharing them through song.
Trevor Coffrin (occasional; next = September 01) [FB] - Trevor James Coffrin: A singer/songwriter whose original music borrows from such musical influences as Tom Petty and Gordon Lightfoot. You can expect an afternoon of laid-back rock, a bit of folk and Country, with an emphasis on Canadian content from great Canadian acts such as Blue Rodeo, Matt Mays, Joel Plaskett, Talk, and The Hip.
